Designed exclusively for River City Yarns by Ann Budd, these lined mittens combine femininity and luxury. The outer mittens are worked first, then stitches for the inner mittens are picked up along the cast-on edges and worked in the opposite direction. A simple lace pattern along the back of the outer mitten hand reveals pops of bright colour from the inner mitten. Our sample mitts were knitted with one strand each of Handmaiden Eden (a blend of merino, cashmere, and nylon) and Rowan Kidsilk Haze (a blend of mohair and silk) or Handmaiden Angel Hair. The inner mittens were knit with Rowan Finest (a blend of extra-fine merino, cashmere, and royal alpaca), also discontinued. We recommend using any ultra soft fingering or sport weight yarn like Handmaiden Casbah for the liner. The combination of sumptuous fibres makes for pure indulgence.
