We wanted a shawl that works on all body shapes—one with colourful geometric patterning and plenty of length. Holli delivered. You can pass Tesserae Shawl around your shoulders twice or more and still tie it. Its unique shape, the merino- cashmere combo of hand-dyed Eden, and the mosaic patterning create a stand-out shawl for any season. And the squishy, soft garter stitch molds itself around your shoulders. You won't want to take it off. Ever.

This pattern is available as a PDF Download (instant download at checkout). Or, if you prefer, it's available through Ravelry here. We have also added an addendum (written instructions for the charted sections in the pattern). If you have already purchased the print version without the addendum, you can add the pdf of the addendum to your cart at no cost here.

Fingering Weight Options! One of our knitterly friends worked up a beautiful Tesserae in RCY Adam & Eve (now available through Handmaiden Yarns - look for Casbah yarn). She used 2.2 skeins of Relic (approx 750m) and 1 skein of Silver (approx 250m) and worked the project on 3.75mm needles. Here's a link to her Ravelry project page for all the details.

We liked this idea so much we thought we'd also recommend Julie Asselin Fino. Pick 2 colours in a nice high contrast. You'll need three skeins in total: 2 of Colour "A" and 1 of Colour "B". We also recommend smaller needles (3.5 - 3.75 mm).
