Snowmen are a welcoming sight in winter. And how much more so when armed with
a hockey stick? This snowman is knitted all in one piece from the bottom up on double- pointed needles. Buttons and hockey stick (or broom) are attached with sewing thread. Substitute a broom for the hockey stick for a more traditional look
.

Adaptation - Frosty the GnomeMan

You can turn Sure Shot Frosty into Frosty the GnomeMan using Epic Yarn and 3.75 mm dpns.  We sell kits called Year of the Gnome - that include Four Balls of Epic wool yarn and a small pack of embellishments....various beard materials, felt, beads, etc.

Barb used the one called "Doing it in Denim"... and you can make lots of these gnomes and bigger Sure Shot Frosty's just by upsizing the yarns and the needles. Barb's pattern adaptations, including the mitten instructions are on Ravelry here.
