Inspired by traditional Nordic patterning the asymmetric placement of the stranded colour-work patterning gives this cardigan an updated contemporary look. We asked Fiona Ellis to use our River City Yarns Epic wool to create a cardigan that shouts, “Oh, Canada” and we think she knocked it out of the park.
Choose from two options for this product: Print Pattern (requires shipping), or PDF Download (instant download at checkout).
Fiona used four colours of River City Yarns Epic yarn (200m/100g ball, 100% virgin wool) in 500 Royal Red, 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6) balls, 100 Ivory, 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 3) balls and one ball each of 200 Coal and 700 Harvest.
Note: River City Yarns Epic Yarn has been discontinued. For substitutions, we recommend Cascade 220 which is also a 100% Peruvian wool, for the closest fibre match. Alternatively, Berroco Ultra Wool or Rowan Pure Wool Worsted would also be good matches if you would like a superwash wool substitution.
Designed exclusively for River City Yarns by Fiona Ellis.
