Jana, from Handmaiden says this about Wisp SuperKid Mohair, "It's like knitting with "a magic cloud".  So soft. Around your neck soft and not prickly.  I've been wearing a wisp turtleneck!" And Ruth from Todwick Studios says, "I refer to Wisp as the "cashmere of mohairs" as it is so unbelievably soft, warm and light."

We couldn't agree more - milled in South Africa, Wisp is one of the softest mohairs we have ever worked with.  And it's thicker than others.  One strand of Wisp feels like two strands of others. We love the fabric it makes and we highly recommend it for one of our favourite designs, the Whisper Popover by Todwick Studios

The Whisper Popover, is a featherweight shoulder cosy, that is perfect to pop on, when you want an extra layer and a sweater would be too much.  Knit in the round, this popover also has a simple one row elongated cross stitch detail on the yoke. It takes just one or two skeins of Wisp, depending on size.

Notes: The Whisper Popover pattern includes three sizes: S/M, L/XL and XXL. You will need 1 skein of Wisp (400m) for sizes S/M and 2 skeins (800) for sizes L/XL or XXL. Length of garment is S/M - 16.5”, L/XL - 20.5” XXL - 24.5”. We recommend binding off using a stretchy bind off method.

You will also need:

Needles - 4.5 mm and 5.0 mm – Please adjust your needle size to achieve gauge.

DESIGNER: Ruth Gallo

Note about hand painted yarns: These skeins are dyed by hand and may vary in colour and/or intensity from skein to skein, even within the same dyelot. Colours viewed on different monitors may have shade and tone differences from the actual product.
