67% Merino wool / 33% Alpaca (150g/5.3oz)
This is a commercially dyed and blended top that consists of several shades of lime green merino blended with white alpaca. It is beautifully soft and with spin up with the lovely halo that alpaca is known for. Alpaca also adds a lot of warmth and durability making this a great fiber for mittens, hats and scarves.
Handwash items made with this item in cool water and lay flat to dry.
The Fiber Imp is an Alberta based fiber company, started by Julia in 2012 as a small etsy shop where she could sell her hand painted roving and yarns. Over the years, they have grown and now carry a large selection of natural and man made fibers, commercially blended and custom dyed colourways, to undyed roving, and much more. They can be found at fiber festivals throughout Alberta and British Columbia and they also have a website where you can see the full range of products they carry.
We have brought in a selection of 4 types of fibers: Merino, Baby Alpaca, Corriedale and Merino/Alpaca blends in a variety of natural and dyed bright colourful braids, perfect for those who spin, weave, felt, knit or create fiber art.
Note about products from our website: Photographs aren't perfect; they don't capture the texture and feel of the fibre. Colours viewed on different monitors may have shade and tone differences from the actual product. If you would like assistance with selecting a colour or an opinion/advice on finding a good fibre for your project, please feel free to give us a call.
