100% Corriedale Wool roving braid. 150g/5.3oz.
This is a commercially dyed and blended top that combines pink, yellow, blue and purple merino. It will have an identical blend of colours in every braid but the braid can appear to be brighter or softer depending on the way the colours come together in the roving.
This fiber is 25-30 microns which is coarser than Merino but still fairly soft. This is a great beginner fiber as it spins up very smoothly.
Handwash items made with this item in cool water and lay flat to dry. Please be aware that dark or intense colours will bleed a little when washed for the first time.
The Fiber Imp is an Alberta based fiber company, started by Julia in 2012 as a small etsy shop where she could sell her hand painted roving and yarns. Over the years, they have grown and now carry a large selection of natural and man made fibers, commercially blended and custom dyed colourways, to undyed roving, and much more. They can be found at fiber festivals throughout Alberta and British Columbia and they also have a website where you can see the full range of products they carry.
We have brought in a selection of 4 types of fibers: Merino, Baby Alpaca, Corriedale and Merino/Alpaca blends in a variety of natural and dyed bright colourful braids, perfect for those who spin, weave, felt, knit or create fiber art.
Note about products from our website: Photographs aren't perfect; they don't capture the texture and feel of the fibre. Colours viewed on different monitors may have shade and tone differences from the actual product. If you would like assistance with selecting a colour or an opinion/advice on finding a good fibre for your project, please feel free to give us a call.
