Shibui Cima is a lace weight yarn that blends wool's beautiful stitch definition with alpaca's gorgeous softness. Use it on its own, or combine it with other yarns to create fabrics with a lovely look and gorgeous drape.
We love the fabric created when Cima is held double in projects so we put together kits for Kristin Ford's graphic design Mix No. 10 Hat. The hat starts off holding two strands of one colour together and then uses slip stitches to create vertical two colour columns. The colours are alternated as you go up the hat and you get to choose what colours to use in each section. We've picked colours that will provide one pop of bright colour, two light and dark contrast colours and one complimentary shade. You get to pick which colour goes where!
If you have yarns left over, (which we think you will). we recommend using marling them together as shown in the Kinetic cowl pattern by Antonia Shankland.
Each Mix 10 Hat Kit contains:
- Four skeins ( 50 g / 1.75 oz, 300 m / 328 yds in each skein) of Cima ( 70% alpaca, 30% merino) in four colour groupings.
- Mix No. 10 Hat Pattern - Print Copy
Care instructions: Hand wash cool, lay flat to dry.
