River City Yarns is proud to introduce the line-up for our newest creation: Hat Trick Hockey yarn. We've created a line of fingering weight yarns, custom dyed in colours inspired by North American hockey teams. This 80% superwash merino, 20% nylon, sock-weight yarn is dyed locally, right here in Alberta. And these skeins are BIG! You'll be able to make a pair of man-sized socks or gloves and a toque. That's right, toque not hat. This is a Canadian-born game, eh!
Each 150 gram skein has a whopping 510 meters / 555 yards and knits up at a gauge of 27 - 32sts/10cm on 2.25 - 3.25mm needles. And, master dyer, Caroline Sommerfeld of Ancient Arts Yarns, has artfully hand-dyed these variegated and large skeins in colourways that make us hockey fans proud. It's a beautiful combo.
