A sock blank is a piece of knitted fabric that can be unraveled and knit or crocheted from directly. Alternatively, it can be unraveled, rewound into a skein, washed, dried, rewound into a ball and then used.
Please note: There will be one end that is easier to pull from than the other. Use that end and you can knit right from your blank, or you can wind it into a ball if you prefer to do that. We love to see the transformation that happens when you knit a sock in the round, from a blank that is dyed and knit flat.
Blanks are super fun to mix with other fingering weight yarns for fades and blends or striped projects. Fingering weight yarns can also be held double or triple and make great marled fabrics. Let us know if you like these and we might just make more.....
