When Sarah from Imagined Landscapes told us she had new Gnome Mystery Knitalong and she was designing a worsted weight version of Gnutmeg ....we were Gnuts about that because we have some great festive colours in our worsted weight, 100% Peruvian wool called EPIC. We immediately put together a yarn kit that you can use when you join the MKAL.
Please note: the pattern is not included in this kit. Please purchase ADVENTure Gnome from Sarah Schira on Ravelry. Click on the link to sign up for Sarah's newsletter.
We assembled two kits you can use to make a worsted weight version of Gnutmeg. Worsted weight yarn with larger needles (3.75mm) will make a larger sized gnome, approximately 13 inches tall from head to toes.
We've created two different kit colours of mini-balls of Epic Yarn (100% Peruvian Highland Wool) so you can mix and match colours to make Gnutmeg's features the colours you prefer. There is lots of yarn in this kit - you can even make two Gnutmegs!
- North Pole Gnutmeg - contains 5 mini balls (30 g ea) of 200 Coal, 300 Snow, 550 Wine, 700 Harvest, 900 Silver
- South Pole Gnutmeg - contains 5 mini balls (30 g ea) of 150 Camel, 420 Faded Denim, 500 Royal Red, 600 Forest, 800 Bison.
- A fun table top game to keep you entertained between instructions (see the assortment by clicking here).
- 50 grams of polyfill so you can stuff your Gnutmeg as you go.
You'll also need
- 3.75 mm double pointed needles
- a tapestry needle to do some assembly and finishing.
What It's About
~While the term advent is used a fair bit, this is not an explicitly Christmas event. It’s a ‘festive winter’ event set in a gnomish land.~
Gnutmeg can be counted on to bring a bowl of eggnog and belly laughs to every party. His favourite gift is tickets to see The Gnutcracker Prince. He recently tried out for a part in an upcoming Gnetflix show called The Gnome of the Gnorth – let’s cross our fingers that he gets it!
This December, unleash whimsy and playfulness! Sarah from Imagined Landscapes has crafted an experience full of gnomes, surprises, and fun! That’s right: it’s a holiday mystery gnome knitalong and it’s an advent event!
