Designed by Holli Yeoh, Peacock is a lovely Estonian lace pattern, that also happens to be a great match for self-patterning yarns. With the Peacock stitch and the yarn, the scalloped stripes just pop out. It makes for a beautiful look. This is a simple introduction to lace knitting and it’s sized from preemies to 4-yr-olds so you’re sure to find someone for whom you can knit it.
The cardigan is worked bottom up, in pieces and seamed. It has modified set-in sleeve with a short sleeve cap. Shoulders are joined using three needle bind off. Stitches are picked up along the front edges and neckline and a rolled, reverse stocking stitch edging is worked.
