Mako cotton has an extra long fibre length/staple which can be spun into smaller-diameter threads for high thread count luxury bedding, or in this case very loosely spun into a worsted-thickness yarn for knitting, crochet, or weaving.
We recommend Dafni by Claudia Wersing as a great way to knit up and wear Cumulus next-to-skin. It is an oversized triangle shawl with a simple textured triangles throughout. For a crocheted alternative, there is the shawl pattern Despina by Claudia Wersing. It is made of many hexagons with a floral motif that are attached to each other. The effect is a light shawl with a distinct summer feel.
