Nurtured is a natural blend of fine wools (Rambouillet + Targhee + Merino) dyed in the fleece. This worsted yarn is spun by Green Mountain Spinnery. What is dyed in the fleece? The fibers are dyed prior to the yarn being spun resulting in all the different layers of colours blending together producing a heathered look. This yarn has a soft hand, 3 ply construction for strength, woolen spun allowing flexible gauge, great for cables and intricate stitch patterns, and bringing texture to plain stockinette stitch.

Introducing the Uplift Shawl KAL by Rosemary (Romi) Hill
The Uplift Shawl is a breathtaking new design by Romi Hill featuring inspired colors by Julie Asselin on her Nurtured base, and brought to you by Knitrino. We’re so pleased to be partnering on this great adventure focused on uplifting and connecting the knitting community.
What's Knitrino? Knitrino publishes "friendly" patterns focused on an exceptional user experience. It's like Google Maps for Knitting patterns: Click a stitch to see how to do it, highlight your current place, track your progress step by step, and so much more. There are no PDFs, no importing, just purchase your pattern and go! Read more about it on Knitrino's website.
About the pattern—Romi always loves expressing a pattern with different techniques, and this shawl has it all: texture, mosaic and lace. The design draws on architectural and geometric shapes while using the colour palette of her home surroundings in the beautiful high desert. While it looks complex - it is something that ALL levels of knitters will enjoy knitting. Laura, who learned to knit in November, said “I feel surprised all over again that I'm making something so beautiful! I see projects before I start, they look so complicated, but it's just not with Knitrino! This is so pretty, I can't believe I'm the one making it!”
What is a KAL? A Knit Along (KAL) is a virtual event where a we all knit the same pattern together! Join the Cast On Party on Zoom on October 21, as well as the Finishing Up Party on November 23. You’ll also be invited to join the Knitrino slack community to share pictures, get help, and just have general shenanigans.
