We call our Flash Mob 2021 collection Human+Nature—it captures seasonal colours into beautiful skeins of yarn. This collection will bring out our human emotions, stimulate our senses, tickle our creative minds, and they will awaken our long forgotten memories.
November's Flash Mob is called Grateful.
Winter nights aren’t as dark as they once were. Sure, nightfall arrives early but we can put our lights out to add some colour. The darkness of the winter is only there to remind us of how fortunate we are to have a place filled with bright lights, warm food, and good company—home.
Grateful is dyed by Ancient Arts Yarns on their Socknado base.
Each skein of Grateful comes with a beautiful custom leather patch made by Brickbubble, as supplies last.

Pattern Suggestion: We love the idea of a fingering weight, top down colourwork sweater (think Icefall in the book Strange Brew by Tin Can knits), using Grateful for the yoke(1 - 2 skeins) and Hat Trick Semi Solid in colour Stack the Pads for the body (2 - 6 skeins depending on size). Or vice versa - body in Grateful and yoke in Stack the Pads.
For a single skein project we recommend the beautiful Orenburg Rhapsody shawl by Caroline Sommerfeld. With a simple crescent shape and easy lace pattern, this shawl will take just one skein.
Buy now and we will tuck in a print copy of the Orenburg Rhapsody shawl pattern to your order, with our compliments! (pattern included as supplies last)
A message from the dyer about this yarn:
I looked at the photo for this month and thought about the story it told as well as what we’ve all been through over the last two years. The image and the feeling that I’ve tried to capture here with this colourway is one of an evening out with friends and family for a walk through a beautiful park with strings of lights and perhaps a festival. The air is crisp and clean, the lights are beautiful and warm, the trees are sheltering and our knitwear is comforting. At the end of the walk we all share a hot cup of cheer, grateful to be with our loved ones!
Note about hand painted yarns: These skeins are dyed by hand and may vary in colour and/or intensity from skein to skein, even within the same dye lot. Colours viewed on different monitors may have shade and tone differences from the actual product.
