We call our Flash Mob 2021 collection Human+Nature—it captures seasonal colours into beautiful skeins of yarn. This collection will bring out our human emotions, stimulate our senses, tickle our creative minds, and they will awaken our long forgotten memories.
August's Flash Mob is called Cozy.
The temperature begins to dip into single digits and we pull out that favourite sweater or extra warm blanket. Our morning drink changes from a cool glass of water to a hot cup of spiced latte, and we take in the golden views as summer makes way for autumn.
Cozy is dyed by Yarns of Rhichard Devrieze. We've bundled two skeins of hand-dyed goodness in this months' flash mob: one stippled skein called "Bountiful" and one semi-solid called "Honey Gold". Both are 100 grams and 373 yards each, and are a blend of superwash merino, cashmere and nylon.
Each skein in the bundle comes with a beautiful custom engraved leather patch made by Brickbubble.

Cynthia has these pattern suggestions for your bundle:
Siddal (socks) by Cheryl Toy are the SPY21 socks we're planning for September and Love Needs a Heart (socks) by Nicole Wagonblast are the socks for October. Cynthia says: "Do both pairs! One pair in Bountiful and one in Honey Gold. They'll be socks you won't want to take off."
A message from Rhichard and Robert about this yarn:
BOUNTIFUL - When we are conscientious stewards of the land, we are rewarded with the crops we planted and with what Nature also provides. In this summer colourway, I tried to capture all of those possibilities that add to the enrichment of our lives and give reinforcing purpose to our efforts, individually and collectively. It's all about increased awareness, physically, cognitively, emotionally. And like in every life, there are times when our efforts face challenges, but we, like Nature itself, endeavour to persevere, and our appreciation of the possibility is enhanced.
HONEY GOLD - Our former merino pastures are now about 80% covered in wild thyme and bird's-foot trefoil which, in the summer, when both plants are in full flower, presents an awesome display of purple and yellow, attracting thousands upon thousands of honey bees that harvest pollen and nectar, then returning to hives to produce an ambrosia that they have learned to share with us when we help them. This is one of Nature's most awesome gifts. We treasure what we do and our reward for it.
Note about hand painted yarns: These skeins are dyed by hand and may vary in colour and/or intensity from skein to skein, even within the same dye lot. Colours viewed on different monitors may have shade and tone differences from the actual product.
