Inspired by the beautiful Macaws from South America, we pulled together some colourful yarns from Uruguay to go with the new colours of Wild Wild Wool Faux Pom Poms we just got in, and teamed them up with with a fun, free cabled hat pattern. Antler Toque from Tin Can Knits is a fun and fast knit hat pattern that includes sizes for everyone in the family, from baby to adult large, and it's the perfect for first time cablers.

Our sample (shown in colour Stratus) is done in Manos Maxima, a single ply 100% extrafine merino wool that is super soft and a delight to wear next to skin. Maxima is kettle dyed by hand in Uruguay, and each skein has its own unique colour variations and features. We've added a colour coordinated faux fur pom-pom and popped everything into one of our new RCY canvas tote bags. Everything fits in one place and it's portable!

Your kit includes:

  • One skein of Manos Maxima
  • A 10 cm Wild Wild Wool Faux Fur Pom-Pom in a coordinating colour;
  • An RCY Canvas Project Tote Bag - NEW!
  • A little treat to enjoy while you're working on your project.

You'll need:

  • 5 mm (US 8) 40cm (16”) circular and 5.5 mm (US 9) 40cm (16") circular and double points (DPNs are recommended to replace circular needles when the number of stitches makes knitting challenging)
  • The Antler Toque pattern from Tin Can Knits (free pattern on Ravelry)
  • A Stitch Marker
  • A Cable and a Tapestry needle

Here are the details for one skein of Manos Maxima:

Note about yarns from our website: Photographs aren't perfect; they don't capture the texture and feel of the yarn. Colours viewed on different monitors may have shade and tone differences from the actual product.
